Blogging, Social Media, and Offspring.

So I decided to start a blog.  Well no, I decided along time ago! But I have finally pursued my decision. My intention is to use it as an online journal (for myself so I can go back and reminisce things I have forgotten!) and also to let people in to my/our life and some of my heart felt feelings on it. I want to be honest and vulnerable. Something I feel you get judged for on Facebook and other Social Media sites. There are HEAPS of opinions on social media. I have a love/hate relationship with it. If you want to get more of an idea on what I'm referring to you can click herehere and here.

Give me grace while I get this thing going - and that means spelling mistakes too! I hardly care about those - but I will try to! =)

To start: I've been wanting to blog about my Nephews. Right now - when I think of miracles, these are 2 that stand out crystal clear.

Noah Christopher Ekkert. My brother and sister-in-law first told us about this 'bun in the oven"  in Australia, when he was only 6 weeks baking. (This "Australia" thing will be a "ThrowBackThursday" Blog Post in itself sometime) In our mourning - we rejoiced in new life! When Noah was born he was just over 7 months brewed! Too early?? Yes!!! Far too early! But God had his hand over him - and he has been growing like mad! After the delivery, we had a little scare and Courtney got suddenly ill and the doctors struggled to pin what it was. But God's love has been mightily shown through this family already! Now, Noah is on track with practically everything! His 'premie' secret is WELL disguised! He will be 3 in two weeks!! And he's such a little loveable rascal I can hardly handle it!

Micah Daniel Ekkert. What a trooper!!! This little boy has been prayed for for LONGER than even I know. Carlos and Michelle's faith is unmistaken. Their desire to have children deeper than their struggle. After a long wait, Carlos and Michelle announced their little bundle the day after our wedding. He was already 3 months in!! He arrived safe and sound making cooing noises only hours after seeing daylight!!

If I had carbonation inside - these two mini-men would make me bubble over.  =)  And since Nick and I are 'Tante' and 'Oncle', We get to spoil them and then give them back!!! What a delight!!
