Winter's last Hoorah!!

Well saturday morning I woke up and.....

And then... it didn't stop!!! Tonight is the end of the THIRD day of straight snow. SAY WHAT?? in BC??? and for 3 days!! I mean its not that unusually to get snow a couple times during the winter - but at the end of February I had definitely given up! 

Sunday afternoon Nicks sister Jen, Nick and I took the ATV out into Nicks parents field and dragged the tube behind it. Miro came out for a run with us too!! Never to young to play in the snow. No one can make us grow up!  

And on the way home from school today.... a winter wonderland =) 

Cold treat for a .... cold day?


Days like these make me tolerate the winter. But when the rain comes again - you won't find anymore more excited about the summer =)

Feeling Canadian

Yesterday Nick and I had the family over to celebrate my dads birthday (Feb 14th) and remember Arno - the anniversary was Feb 8th. We went to the cemetery and told about old memories. 

Noah finds Uncle Nick as soon as he comes over!

And after everyone left Nick and I went to skate on the frozen pond in Abbotsford! We don't get this type of stuff in BC!!! It never gets cold enough - so I felt SOOPER canadian - we even RANDOMLY got Tim Hortons... it wasn't even planned!!

Now THOSE are good seats. Somebody paid a high price for those.

This one was so shaky because I was laughing so hard at Nick!! I had to post it. He was being model-esque

And this one is bad quality too, I had to keep the shutter speed open long because it was starting to get really dark. (and I didn't have a tripod) But I wanted to take a picture of the sign. The city of Abbotsford had to put that up to save their tiny little butts. haha

Micah's First Birthday

Just a couple of the shots I've been taking for my photography class. I think they show up way different in terms of colour and quality which is unfortunate.

The next succession of pictures is an exploration with lighting, and some of the pictures are supposed to show up a lot darker than others but they changed temperatures, which is too bad. I'll have to figure out why it does that.
